MaDE-for-UASs Completes Consortium Mid-Term Review and Quality Audit

Hybrid evaluation across Ethiopian and European hubs confirms dual-centre readiness, ToT progress, and course correction for 2025–2027 delivery

ADDIS ABABA / EUROPEAN PARTNER HUBS — 10 May 2025 — The MaDE-for-UASs consortium completed a formal mid-term review and quality audit of the European Union co-funded Erasmus+ CBHE project (Grant Agreement No. 101179337), convening work-package leads across Addis Ababa and European partner institutions.

The review examined dual national centres, immersive products, ToT cascade, open tools, and industry–university collaboration. Follow-up actions covered MEL, EU visibility, centre inauguration, and multi-site pilots.

Mid-term snapshot

Purpose. Progress and quality review at mid-cycle of a 36-month Erasmus+ CBHE action.
Format. Hybrid convening (10 May 2025).
Outcome. Course corrections for dual-hub operations, cascade training, and 2025–2027 delivery.

About MaDE-for-UASs

MaDE-for-UASs (Methodology and Didactic Education for Universities of Applied Sciences) is a three-year (2024–2027) capacity-building action co-funded by the European Union under Erasmus+ CBHE, Grant Agreement No. 101179337. Coordinated by Kotebe University of Education with Dire Dawa University as co-coordinator, the consortium unites Ethiopian implementing partners and European universities of applied sciences (Hochschule Heilbronn, TH OWL, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano). The project modernises applied-science teaching through immersive didactics, dual national centres, open tools, a master-trainer cascade, and the National Resonance Group. Headline targets include 50,000+ students, about 3,000 academic staff, five or more practice-oriented courses, and about 60 master trainers.
