1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the public MaDE-for-UASs website (including made4uas.info and related project web channels). It describes what information we may process when you browse the site, submit enquiries, or use Partner Login if you are an authorised consortium user.

MaDE-for-UASs is co-funded by the European Union under Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE), Grant Agreement No. 101179337. Processing of personal data related to this website is carried out under the responsibility of the project coordinator, subject to applicable Ethiopian law and, where relevant, the data practices of hosting and email service providers.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you provide

• Name, email, organisation, role, subject, and message content via Get Involved / Contact forms (including when the site opens your email client to the consortium inbox).
• Any details you voluntarily send by email to project contacts listed on the site.
• Partner Login credentials and related account data for authorised consortium members only.

3.2 Information collected automatically

• Technical logs that may include IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps—used to operate, secure, and improve the website.
• Preference data stored in your browser (for example light/dark theme), where enabled.

3.3 Information we do not seek

We do not intentionally collect special categories of sensitive personal data through public forms. Please do not submit health or similar sensitive data via the website.

4. Purposes of processing

• Responding to enquiries and partnership or media requests
• Operating project communications and public information services
• Administering Partner Login for authorised users
• Maintaining security and troubleshooting technical issues
• Meeting legitimate project administration and Erasmus+ visibility needs where applicable

We do not sell personal data.

5. Sharing & processors

Personal data may be shared with implementing consortium partners only as needed to handle your request. Hosting, email, or security providers may process data on our behalf. EU co-funding does not mean the European Commission or EACEA automatically receives your form messages, except where required by law or formal grant procedures.

6. International transfers

The project is European–Ethiopian. Data may be accessed by consortium partners in Ethiopia and European partner countries as needed for project delivery.

7. Cookies and local storage

Essential cookies or local storage may support theme preference, session state, and partner authentication. You can clear cookies and site data through your browser settings.

8. Retention

Enquiry messages are retained only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable project administration. Partner account data is retained while access is required for consortium work.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No website transmission is completely secure.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Contact madeeu@kue.edu.et.

11. Children

The site is aimed at higher-education professionals, partners, and adult visitors. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through public forms.

12. External links

Links to partner universities, NADRE, EU portals, or other third parties have their own privacy practices. This policy does not cover those sites.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as the website or legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected by revising the “Last updated” date on this page.
