Consultancy Assignment: Capacity Building Training on Virtual Reality (VR) Learning and Modeling for University Lecturers

The MaDE-for-UAS Project Coordination Team invites qualified consultancy firms or individual VR specialists to design and deliver a 5-day hands-on capacity building training programme for engineering lecturers in Civil Engineering and Electromechanical Engineering disciplines.

5-Day Training Module Breakdown

Day 1: FundamentalsVR in Higher Education

VR concepts, hardware/software, immersive learning & global case studies.

Day 2: Modelling ToolsPlatforms & Environments

Unity 3D/Unreal navigation, 3D scene creation, basic modeling techniques.

Day 3: Civil EngineeringStructural Simulations

Building visualization, sanitary & infrastructure 3D site exploration models.

Day 4: ElectromechanicalMachinery & Circuits

Electrical system & circuit simulations, mechanical assembly & VR lab exercises.

Day 5: IntegrationSyllabus & Prototype Showcase

Integrating VR into lesson plans, peer review of prototype VR learning content.

Lead Expert Qualifications
  • Bachelor's/Master's in CS, IT, Software Eng, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Min. 5 years experience in VR/XR technology development & training.
  • Proficiency in major VR development platforms (Unity 3D / Unreal Engine).
  • Proven track record in educational simulations for engineering disciplines.
Firm & Team Requirements
  • Supporting Expert: Min. 3 years VR 3D modeling & lab instruction experience.
  • Valid consultancy / training firm operating licence.
  • Min. 3 years experience delivering VR / ICT capacity building programs.
  • Evidence of at least two (2) comparable assignments in past 5 years.

Senior Procurement Officer & e-GP Specialist

MaDE for UAS Project Coordination · KUE & DDU

Responsible for leading all procurement activities under the Erasmus+ CBHE project. Manages bid publication, vendor clarification, and tender evaluations on the Federal e-GP portal for VR/AR hardware, IT infrastructure, and laboratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer e-GP portal tender postings and candidate submissions for RFQ #1 & RFQ #2.
  • Coordinate technical procurement evaluation committees across KUE and DDU.
  • Ensure strict compliance with European Commission (Erasmus+) procurement regulations.
  • Oversee vendor contract signing, delivery acceptance testing, and audit archives.
Required Qualifications:

BA/BSc or MSc in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Management, or Accounting. Min. 4 years donor-funded procurement experience (EU / World Bank) with e-GP system proficiency.

MaDE Pedagogy & Technology Center Support Desk

Assists the senior procurement officer and project management team in maintaining vendor correspondence, processing RFQ documentation, tracking hardware delivery logs, and organizing equipment asset registers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile bidder documentation and maintain physical and digital tender archives.
  • Assist in verifying supplier tax clearance, VAT registration, and warranty certificates.
  • Coordinate equipment transport and customs clearing documentation for imported VR hardware.
  • Maintain asset tracking registers at KUE Pedagogy Center & DDU Technology Center.
Required Qualifications:

Diploma or BA in Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics, or Accounting. Min. 2 years experience in project administration, record-keeping, or logistics.
