Bridging Theory and Practice: MaDE-for-UASs in Transforming Higher Education Delivery

How MaDE-for-UASs is turning global immersive-learning momentum into concrete UAS practice in Ethiopia—anchored by the August 2026 lecturer intensive at Dire Dawa University and the dual national centres.

Immersive technologies—virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and extended reality (XR)—have moved from experimental pilots to core components of modern higher education. Ethiopia is joining that trajectory through UAS reform and the Erasmus+ co-funded MaDE-for-UASs project.

Why this moment matters

The skills gap between classroom theory and industrial practice remains a persistent challenge. MaDE-for-UASs answers with immersive didactics, operational centres, and a national trainer cascade.
